The second side event of the 4th GDWeek; Diaspora Organizations Training Trove (DOTT), led by our partners International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and DMA Global highlighted the important role of diaspora communities in driving sustainable development and humanitarian impact globally.

The session introduced the DOTT, an innovative resource designed to empower diaspora organizations with training materials and resources on topics such as engagement, investment, and remittances aimed at enhancing stronger internal governance, effective communication, database management, and coalition-building to amplify their efforts.

Participants explored key modules on Organizational Development, Networking, Communication, and Partnerships and gained insights on the importance of trust-building, diversity, and aligning short and long-term goals. This session reinforced the ethos of GDWeek’s “Local Solutions with Global Reach” and our commitment to equipping diaspora organizations to be catalysts for meaningful change.
