The GDC attended with the kind invitation by MYCP to a special screening of the new short, "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Oscar and BAFTA recognised director, Elham Ehsas who will talk alongside Francesca D'Arcy at Global Leaders Group, and MYCP representatives on Representation in Film and ask: "Can film save cultural storytelling?" - marking both Refugee Week, as well as an important time when global diversity and creative freedoms are under threat. Elham's new film touches on themes of climate displacement, cultural and ancestral heritage, and the painful intersections between them.

Held at the British Film Institute (BFI) in London on Thursday 19th June, an audience of 30 influential and friendly industry professionals participated, alongside key humanitarian and social impact leaders.
The successful event has been a positive furtherance to the collaborative relations with MYCP in support to iDiaspora’s Global Diaspora Virtual Exchange and its past Youth Forum at GFMD.
On the World Refugee Day 2025, we are in solidarity with all people in urgent need and those who selflessly contribute to support them.
